La Comisión Europea y la Fundació Mies van der Rohe han anunciado los nominados al Premio de Arquitectura Contemporánea de la Unión Europea 2024 / Premios Mies van der Rohe (Premios EUmies). Se han seleccionado un total de 362 obras de arquitectura realizadas en 38 países europeos, lo que marca la primera etapa del 18º ciclo de los Premios EUmies. En la siguiente etapa, el jurado elegirá 40 proyectos destacados, seguido de visitas a los finalistas y entrevistas con los arquitectos, sus equipos y los clientes del proyecto.
Los Premios EUmies 2024 tienen como objetivo reconocer las mejores obras mejor en Europa realizadas entre abril de 2021 y mayo de 2023. La selección de proyectos refleja los cambios actuales dentro del contexto europeo, con una atención cada vez mayor a la conciencia ambiental, social y económica expresada a través de la arquitectura, el paisajismo, el urbanismo y el diseño. El jurado de este año está presidido por Frédéric Druot (París/Burdeos), que estará acompañado por Martin Braathen (Oslo), Pippo Ciorra (Roma), Tinatin Gurgenidze (Tbilisi/Berlín), Adriana Krnáčová (Praga), Sala Makumbundu (Luxemburgo) y Hrvoje Njiric (Zagreb).
